התחממות גלובלית ושינויי אקלים – עדויות, השלכות ומה ניתן לעשות

 🌏🌏🌏 The United Nations Scientific Report (IPCC) has warned very recently that the world is not ready for the effects of impending climate change. Among other things, the findings in the report speak of the need to prepare and produce adaptation plans urgently.

 
Recently I was privileged to work in collaboration with Gilad Ronnen, PhD גלעד רונן on writing a strategic plan for sustainability and the environment in the Bnei Shimon Regional Council (https://bns.org.il).
 
Bnei Shimon understood that such a strategic plan is needed and as part of the process we held a public participation event for the residents of the communities last night to learn about the residents, their needs, and their desire to bring about change in the communities and contribute their knowledge and experience.
 
We were very excited when dozens of wonderful residents arrived who care about the environment and the state of the planet.
 
At the meeting, we included a lecture by Dr. Raz Tamir from the Israel Resource Efficiency Center (IREC) (https://www.rec.co.il/) about Circular Economy, and we held three roundtable discussions on issues related to local sustainability, ecology, and industrial circular economy.
